This new version of Adidas’ Supernova series support shoe for women – the Sequence has been tweaked to make it more stable. The Pro Moderator unit which provides stability has been moved further back to provide extra support at the back of the foot. It’s also been given a firmer density midsole, a stronger torsion system and a straighter last.
They’ve changed the fitting slightly making it wider in the toe box. An Adiprene pod inserted in the forefoot means that the density of material can be controlled, making it more stable in the forefoot. A Formotion unit in the heel provides motion control and ground adaptability and Adiprene+ offers full length forefoot cushioning.
Continental rubber inserts in the outersole give better grip on wet pavements. Adidas say this makes their shoes “grippier in the wet than their competitors are in the dry.”
Adidas use a welded microsuede for a better, smoother fit over the forefoot and better support for the natural flexzones of the foot. TPU bonding means no stitching in the upper to reduce the chances of rubbing. A great stable, well-cushioned choice for the overpronating runner. (Adidas tend to come up about half a size smaller than other shoe makes)
